Craig Belles, owner of Belles Tree Service, grew up in Salisbury Township. After graduating from high school, Craig worked in construction for about four years before deciding to go into business for himself. At that time there weren’t a lot of tree service businesses in the area. His dad, John, was a big influence in steering him into this field. It was tough in the early days being a one-person operation.
Starting out with a medium-duty pickup truck and a chipper, Craig built Belles Tree Service from the ground up. It took a good 10 years to get his business to the point that it was self-sustaining. Craig has always stressed safety and service as he built his business. Belles Tree Service takes pride in a job well done and a clean, safe jobsite. The crews include four ISA Certified Arborists who oversee each and every job. “Safety is one thing you can never have too much of in this industry.”
Today, Belles Tree Service has a fleet of 10 vehicles that includes: bucket trucks, chipper trucks, stump grinders, dump trucks and a tree spraying unit. In addition to tree maintenance and removal, Belles offers plant health care including shrubbery trimming, fertilizing and other care for established landscapes.
